The Pipes (Oilfield) App offers a comprehensive tool for calculating the volumes and weights associated with various oilfield pipes. It provides precise assessments of the metal displacement volume for both open-ended and closed-ended pipe strings, facilitating accurate estimations crucial for well planning and cementing operations.

The application effectively computes primary cementing volumes, including liner cementing, cement plug volumes, and volumes for cement placement through coiled tubing. It also accounts for bottom-up and rat-hole volumes, wellbore volumes without pipe presence, and the partial displacement volumes down specific restrictions within drill pipes or tubings. Additionally, it calculates annular volumes between a pipe and the wellbore, as well as the capacity of coiled tubing considering reel volume constraints at surface.

Further, the app determines the internal capacity of pipe strings and the annular spaces between two pipe strings, as well as between a pipe string and open hole sections. It can also evaluate the annular volume involving a combination of pipe string and open hole configurations. For annular volume calculations, users can incorporate an optional excess percentage, applicable either solely to open hole sections or to both open hole and outer pipe sections.

The app also features calculations for pipe weight in air or fluid, with the flexibility to specify different fluid densities inside and outside the pipe string. It provides precise estimations of frictional and hydrostatic pressures within pipes, formation injection pressures, pressure drops across bits or nozzles, and circulating pressures in drill or casing strings, as well as coiled tubing.

Customization capabilities include defining up to three distinct pipe sections within each string, applicable equally to open hole sections. The app maintains an extensive database of API-standard casing, drill pipe, and tubing sizes, complemented by common coiled tubing and open hole dimensions.

The "User's Data" module allows users to add or delete personalized pipe specifications, enhancing adaptability. Additionally, the app supports saving calculation details and sharing them via email, messaging platforms, or exporting through iCloud to multiple devices, streamlining communication and record-keeping within professional workflows.
